I haven’t participated in a post at Shutter Sisters for a while as things have gotten busier around here for me, so I’m happy I can join in today! A call for seeing our before and after processing shots was made so here is my shot straight-out-of-camera (SOOC).
I took this today in the morning while we visited our neighbourhood playground for the first time. There was a fountain still closed up for the past winter. Sophie pretended to be drinking from it and I had to capture it. The SOOC was a little underexposed so the first thing I did was increase the exposure slider in Lightroom. I also fiddled with recovery, fill light, blacks, a bit of contrast and decreased the saturation a touch. Then played with split toning to put in some yellow and there you have it! Ta da!
Processing is fun! Let’s see your before and after shots too!

That’s beautiful! You definitely know more than I do about post processing! Thanks for taking a look at mine!

I saw that call for B/A’s too and immediately took two examples and created a mosaic over at Picnik (though I do all my editing in Lightroom). I wasn’t pleased with what happened to the photos after putting them in the mosaic at Picnik so I didn’t post them. You’ve inspired me to do this anyway and post it … I’ll stop in again with the link once I get them posted. I love seeing before and afters especially when we know what sort of changes the person made.

love the adjustments you made! The green in the background and in the trim of her jacket tie in nicely w/ the changes. I love the concentration in her expression!

Nice little before and after effect. I like how it’s side by side as it makes the change much more apparent! Keep up the good work!
