Poor hippos… taking a bath and up comes laura, armed with a polarizer on her lens, cutting through the reflection on the water. Having a circular polarizer comes in handy when invading privacy like this. All kidding aside, the polarizer has many useful functions, which I will delve into on a future article. I especially like using it to reduce the reflections on glass, water and other reflective surfaces.

Although, I do like seeing just their eyes peeking above the water surface too.

ahh Cool. Now I know what it does! I bought a polarizor and haven’t used it…yet =)
