Shooting in extremely dark places is always a challenge. The Maui Ocean Center has some of the darkest tanks I have ever seen, especially in the jellyfish exhibit. I shot wide open with the slowest shutter speed as I could hand held and had to use an ISO of 2500. While sifting through hundreds of photos taken that day, I stopped in amazement when I saw this one. What do you see?
My husband sees a nice, big juicy prawn. He must be hungry.

I see a teddy bear face….two black eyes and head…close to the left but kinda centered
It reminds me of smoke. Gorgeous shot under some pretty challenging conditions!

gorgeous. darkness is such an issue. drives me nutty sometimes. my 50D does pretty good on really high iso and that helps.

@Carrie: I shoot with a full frame camera (Nikon D700) so the noise levels are very nice. Much better than my D300, that’s for sure! Bigger sensor=less noise
@Tanya: A teddy bear eh? It’s amazing how differently each person can view the same image isn’t it?
@leaca: How are you liking the 50D?
