I like the framing in this shot. Perhaps it could be cropped a bit on the top but I just left it as is. I printed this as an 8×12 without any cropping and it looks great! I only wish that the background was cleaner. I didn’t plan on producing a formal portrait so I didn’t set up the background properly. I couldn’t have asked for much more as I took this shot after playing dress up to see if she still fit into her dresses. She was none too pleased as you can see but her expression is still precious to me! She looks so innocent and pure. I used natural light, as usual, but we don’t get much light in this room so I used a high ISO and the widest aperture on the 50mm lens to minimize motion blur.
It’s our little one’s first birthday! It’s amazing how time flies. I can still recall the day she was born as clearly as if it just happened. It was truly miraculous! Happy Birthday my love!

Hi Laura
How are you doing? How is Sophie? After a while I got a chance to check on face book. I am sorry to hear about Sophie’s rashes. I hope she is getting better. Nikki also had some rashes on her cheeks and shoulder, but now she is fine. I also read something about Big Birthday….Would you tell me more about the plan? I still have not confirmed my flight ticket, but I am hopping I can attend the party.
Sorry about the subject, I have some problem to send messages in face-book; By the way, Nikki and I are happy here with the family and miss you guys
