Is “yumminess” a word? I didn’t think so, but for macro shots, maybe you’ll forgive me for creating my own vocabulary. I haven’t used my 105mm micro lens much yet, but from the few times I did, I am happy I had it on my camera. I like getting super close and the 105mm allows me to jump right into the world of small. I love it. Focusing has to be dead on because of the close range and the aperture tweaked just right to achieve the look you want. Using the lens wide open might give you too shallow a depth of field when you’re working so close to the subject like this.
I’m looking forward to opening my eyes to the macro world. If you’d like to share your favourite macro shots, please do do do!

Oh macro shots are highly addictive. I read a couple other photoblogs that once they’ve started down this road the fun never ceases.
I love this one. The soft color is beautiful.

Macro is addictive! I use extension tubes with my lenses so I can get right up close. Check out my blog , Suddenly snow , is an example of what you can do with extension tubes!
