What do you do when you walk into the washroom and see this? Why, run and grab your camera of course! As long as it’s not dangerous, why not capture them getting into things they’re not supposed to get into? You can use it as evidence when you tell your child how much work fun they were growing up.

Another lesson learned here is to get your exposure right. I had severely underexposed these shots in my hurry to capture the moment. As a result, they suffered from a crazy amount of noise after increasing exposure in post processing. I had to use noise reduction in post as well to lessen the graininess. Some grain is ok, but these had so much that the skin looked pretty bad. At ISO 800, my camera does ok with respect to noise, only IF the exposure is correct, which obviously was not the case here. I’m still working on those fingers to try and get quicker when changing my settings.

It’s amazing what kids can pick up just from watching you once or twice.
