Her clothes are mismatched, her hair is disheveled and the obvious? She’s drooling milk. Not so “picture perfect” is it? But, do you know what? I like it! I like it because this is what she looks like most of the time and this is part of what I want to remember about her at this age. I want to remember how she liked to let her milk dribble out of her mouth to signal when she’s had enough. I want to remember how cute she looked even in her mismatched PJ’s. I want to remember her chronic bed head due to all the naps she took during the day. I want to remember her just as she is. A not-so-perfect picture is actually “perfect” in my eyes.
Do you have any not-so-perfect-and-yet-so-perfect shots in your photo collection? I’d love to see them! If you have one somewhere floating around in cyberspace, leave us a link, or at least describe the picture in words. They may very well turn out to be our most treasured photos!

This is one of my favorite shots of Sophie. She looks so cool and casual.

Ahhh! Yes, I have many shots of Aidan in graceless poses. My favorites are the ones when he’s outside with dirt spattered all over him because he LOVES playing in the dirt!

@Shelli: Oh boy, I can’t wait until Sophie discovers dirt! haha
