On our tour of the Parliamentary buildings in Ottawa, Canada’s capital, we were glad to have our wide angle zoom lens on our new D700, full frame (FX) camera to take full advantage of the wide perspective. When taking photos of architecture, I found the wide focal length to come in very handy in tight spaces. I was also able to get the whole building in one shot and with the distortion due to the ultra wide angle, I felt the creativity flow. Some may not prefer to have distorted looking buildings, but I rather like the look. I’ll post one of the outside next week. Until then, we’re off on the road again to Quebec!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and thank you so much for dropping by! Although I have read all of your comments, I’m sorry I haven’t had much time to catch up on them and on your WYP entries. Now I know what friends meant when they said not to travel with an 18-month old!

Wow, what an awesome photo!
Try to remember, at those moments when you are having a tough time traveling with your little one, that these will be wonderful memories in the future!

Gotta love the ultrawide. I need to pick myself up the Tokina 11-16mm. If only someone had it in stock.

That is an awesome wide angle lens you’ve got. The b/w with the reflection on the floor is all awesome! Nice shot.

A masterpiece.
It’s pity the “do not enter” sign is an eyesore.

Yeah, boo for the “no entry” sign, but it can be removed so no worries. I just didn’t get a chance to do that.
I’m really liking the wide angle!
