Photographing children in their element is what really makes a child’s portrait so genuine, unique and special to me. Even silly shots like this one apply because her uninhibited, childish personality, that I long to remember, can shine through. So I say, let kids be kids and capture them as they are. When they are all grown up, they too will undoubtedly appreciate the memories.

You are absolutely right! She will look back and wonder that she was ever so small and silly, and appreciate how much attention her mama gave her.

Oh my gosh, that is so cute! I really think these spontaneous, silly shots are the best…the ones we will look back on and smile.
